Baby Aviana travelled from the Pacific Islands

Baby Aviana travelled from the Pacific Islands to Adelaide in March 2026 for specialist treatment of choanal atresia, a congenital condition causing blockage of the nasal airway. Through the generous support of ROMAC, DREAMIN and the dedication of Professor Krishnan and his multidisciplinary team,

Aviana underwent successful corrective surgery at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The procedure restored her nasal airway, significantly improving her breathing and quality of life. This outcome highlights the impact of international medical partnerships and charitable support in providing access to life-changing healthcare for children from underserved regions. Aviana is now recovering well and has a bright future ahead.
